Jun 18, 2008 · I made brackets so the 4th gen seats would line up. I ended up using the brackets on the rear mounts on the driver seat, and on the front mounts of the passenger seat. I used a shallow headed bolt up thru the bottom of the offset bracket. I slid the spacers over the stud, then dropped the seat down over the stud. Every key component of the LS1 Camaro and Firebird has been weighed. You could probably use Ebay pics to compare the seats, but I doubt the frame design has changed much, if at all. I sat in some 5th Gen Camaro seats once and found them very comfy, but gave up on trying to get them to fit into my 78 because at the time I couldnt find a Driver and Passenger seat that both had power.4th gen F-body (93-02) seats fit well, go in with minimum mods and are 100x more comfortable. In all honesty if you want leather, go with Katskin or one of the other Legit seat cover manufacters that require removal of your stock cloth and replacement of them with their covers.

The top of a 67-69 standard upholstery rear seat is 52" wide and 26" tall. Jan 27, 2007 · I also used 4th gen firebird seats (I am 6-1). They are VERY comfortable and I have plenty of headroom. Here is a picture of them (comparing the old 68 seats) when I first installed them back in 2007. The firebird seats are able to be adjusted to enable to front of the seat (where your knees are) goes up and the rear (headrest area) goes down. The new pattern may have required a change in the mold of the seat buns I don't know. You can look at the two pictures and see. ls1.com would have the answer for sure. '69 Camaro.
