Ks47 upper
Just ordered the 16” upper with lightweight 13.5” handguard. No lowers in stock. Has anyone tried the ks47 upper on a standard ar15 lower? I ordered a 30rnd c products magazine, can’t think of any reason it wouldn’t work.It seems to be the year of the AK here in Booth 425 at SHOT Show 2019 in Las Vegas. The PSA KS-74 strongly resembles an AR-15 until you take a closer look at the magazine and the lower receiver.If you want to do this, the KS47 upper is wider than a standard AR lower so the slide lock has to be bent or cut off. Inside the KS47 upper, the bolt face needs to work for 7.62x39 and thus the 'claw' parts and specifically the extractor, are thin. Extractors can break. The KS47 bolt will fit fine in a standard upper.

The brs47 lower is compatible with the ks47 upper. I got a Gibbs ks47 upper on the brs47 lower and it works. But the lower only works with ak pmags, the follower on other mags sit too low and the ks47 bcg won't strip the the round out of the magazines. The KS-47 Gen 2 upper is about 1mm wider than a standard AR upper.
