I've already got Yoshi header and pipe installed, and JD jet kit. I wonder if people have experience with the Lectron carbs on the DRZ's, as they seem to be pretty dang awesome. This divergence is similar to the low-pressure area created by an air craft wing, which utilizes low pressure to create lift. The Lectron carburetor uses divergence to create "Fuel-Lift". Both air temperature and elevation affect airflow volume by weight.The Smart Carb uses the stock throttle cable, so all you do is thread that into the new throttle cap and hook up the cable to the new slide on the SmartCarb. The carb fits in very easily, and there were no fitment issues. The SmartCarb has two plugs on it. One plugs into the stock TPS plug; the other plugs into the new harness.The design of the Lectron is focused on two primary principles: 1. "AMPLIFY" the fuel pick-up signal. 2. "UTILIZE" the amplified fuel pick-up signal to create a more efficient burnable mixture. The bore of the Lectron carb is not straight but incorporates a taper to increase the air velocity.On top, the bike is faster than any other 250 two-stroke aside from the motocross version of the same bike. In other words, the bar for the TPI bike is pretty high, and people are understandably skeptical. First things first, there's a weight difference. The standard 250XC-W weighs in at 224 pounds without fuel.This brings me to carb upgrades. Heard about the FCR39 and tuning / mounting woes. The power seems impressive once you dial it in and looks appealing. I also see the Lectron on many different bikes and the happy riders as well. Lectron looks very easy to set up and go right out of the box.Lectron carbs have their own set of problems. Just as stock carbs have their own. The Lectron utilizes a more simple carb technology compared to stock. They smooth out the power. Think less coarse pulses of the engine. Same power available but not so abrupt/rough feeling. What they do have is a "powerjet" that is ment for the 4 stroke. But no choke. Id stick to a stocker.Anyone know anything about the Lectron carbs. Considering putting one on my DRZ 400 SM. 2020. Possible easier then resetting carb for different elevations. I've checked with a couple of their listed dealers and they didn’t have much info. One didn’t even know he was a dealer. Scary!!No fuel pump to worry about, no micro injector holes to clog, no electronics to have a gremlin. Just a smooth running bike with perfect fuel delivery, no hassle and great fuel mileage. Put it on to ride Colorado and never looked back. It does take some fiddling with the metering rod to get it perfect. Comes set-up for your bike, you just fine tune. Install was a breeze. I've heard the Smart Carb is better but never tried it.

The newest Lectron Dan bought a couple of weeks ago is a good step up with oring type gasket on the float bowl.
