The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like). My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun.

The double action trigger is abominal and the single has a long reset. Way better off with a TX-22 either the regular or competition model. I have both and love them.
