So Verizon sent G3100 so I can put it instead of CR1000A. My question is - do I simply disconnect CR1000A, connect G3100 and just wait 10 min for it ...Got CR1000A some time ago. Disconnect G1100 from ONT and connect to LAN port via ethernet to change settings so that it is no longer a router and is only a Moca bridge. 1a. Turn off 2.4 & 5 GHz wifi radios as described elsewhere. The bad thing about using the CR1000a units as Acess Points is that you need to use a LAN port for the uplink. And the CR1000a only has one 10GbE LAN port. The other two LAN ports are only 2.5GbE. If your area has IPv6 that might be causing the problem.
