Turgeon served as the head men's basketball coach at Jacksonville State University from 1998 to 2000, Wichita State University from 2000 to 2007, Texas A&M University from 2007 to 2011 and University of Maryland, College Park from 2011 to 2021.Kennedy, 58, has taken part of close to 600 wins, helped by a 361-294 mark as head coach. He's won conference coach of the year awards across three different leagues -- the Southland (2004), Ohio Valley (2010 & 2011) and SEC (2016) -- and has coached three different programs to the NCAA tournament, highlighted by a pair of Sweet 16 seasons in College Station (2016 and 2018).
