Convert 4 prong dryer to 3 prong
The dryer was originally 4-prong, so we bought a 3-prong cord and installed it. It works fine, except I am not entirely sure if I installed the ground wire correctly. May 30, 2021 · The main thing when converting 3-prong to 4-prong is to make sure neutral is isolated from the dryer chassis. Typically there will be an obvious jumper which does this, I presume you have already removed it. The isolation can be tested with an ohm meter. Converting dryer to 4 prong.
