It's basically CS61A without Scheme so the pacing is a bit slower. Only 2 projects with labs being optional. The class is not a weeder class and the staff wants you to succeed. Exams are not too bad as long as you study and do previous years exams which they provide.I dropped cs61a for datac88c and i regret it. I did okay on the midterm for cs61a (22.5/40) which was below the average of 28.9/40. I ended up dropping it because midterm 2 is the same date as midterm 2 for math 1b and I thought that would just be incredibly stressful to manage, especially since exams are 60% of your grade in math 1b and 52% in 61a.
