The nut could work itself loose inside the engine and wreck the insides. A bolt with an O-ring should be used with red or blue loctite to keep it from backing out making a mess everywhere. Either a 14mm or 5/8 tap should do ...Use an impact and it'll go right in on both the governor arm hole and the pressed in shaft hole (no need for a tap) you can knock the shaft out with a punch going in towards the block. You don't need to remove the gear. It all comes out as one. Use a 7/16×20 or 7/16×14 tap for the oil sensor hole. I prefer 7/16×20 for the fine thread. Great!
