2018 silverado oil pressure gauge fluctuations

The oil pressure guage needle bounces around while the truck is ideling but stops once I get going and stays steady at around 60 psi until I stop and idel again. Should this be something to be concerned about? Thanks.Have a mechanic check the oil level. Oil pressure gauge reading too low, generally below 15 to 20 PSI while idling. Cold weather can also make the oil pressure read low until the oil pump has had a chance to deliver the oil to the engine. Oil pressure gauge reading too high, or over 80 PSI while driving, especially at higher RPMs.

the actual pressure sender is on the oil cooler on my current J (but it has an IO-550... missile STC). Can't remember where the sender is on the IO-360. The oil pressure usually read between 22 - 32 psi normally. This seems to be normal.That is exactly what happened yesterday driving my 08 GMC Sierra 5.3 into town which is about 9 miles. About have way there the gauge bottoms out and the mes center said no oil presure stop the engine. The engine wasn't making any noise so I went on into town stopped at walmart checked the oil it was about 1/2 quart low.Here's the symptom list: -When RPM's drop below 1k, Oil Gauge drops to 0 and lights come on. -When RPM's go back above 1k, everything goes back to normal. -Only occurs when coolant temp has reached around 210. -At first only occurred on occasion. -Over time, occurred every time I drove.If the valve is absent, the oil supply passages inside the engine lose their oil. It will take a few seconds for the oil pump to fill the supply passages back up after the engine starts. Expect that problem to be worse in the mornings, after the car sits overnight. Install the correct oil filter and the problem should be fixed.
Nov 1, 2018 · Once the engine heats up it says at 30-35 at idle and increases based on RPM. 3000+ RPM brings the oil pressure to 60+psi. I only use Mobil 1 and AC Delco PF46 filter and change every 3-3.5k miles. Truck has 185,000 miles. Checked the oil levels one more time (fine). Removed the oil filter and put on adapter & gauge. Ran the truck. The truck's Oil Pressure gauge resumed the same behavior, except now it is more likely to drop to zero reading and remain whereas before it fluctuated 5-40.
