The hammer drops, but nothing happens. I eject the shell and the primer hasn't been touched. This problem is intermittent. Usually occurring once every 25 rounds. It has always occurred on my first shot except for once when it occurred on the second. The theory seems to be that on some of the Stoeger bolt handles, the stem is too long and protrudes from the blind side of the bolt and requires some minor fitting. This might be an easy fix, IF thats the problem. Bolt handles are relatively inexpensive @ $30-40.
May 5, 2014 · 4. Posted May 5, 2014. So i bought a Stoeger M3500 Max 4 28 inch semi Shotgun on March 5th. First thing i did was take the gun apart and cleaned it. The gun did not have any cosmetic problems. I took it that weekend to test it out and shot #2 duck load to break it in. After 6 shots i noticed the pin on the bolt was destroyed. Jan 8, 2019 · 316.
