To adopt: www.limestonepets.orgEach year, the Athens Limestone Animal Shelter accepts more than 3,000 dogs and cats from animal control officers in Athens and Limestone County and from citizens who find strays or can no longer care for their pets. Every effort is made to reunite lost animals with their families and to find loving, forever homes for every adoptable dog and cat.All adoptions are on a first come, first to adopt basis. Adoption fees range from $120.00-$200.00. We accept cash only please. Our hours are Friday through Tuesday, 10am to 3pm each day. Wednesdays 10am to 1pm. Closed Thursdays and most major holidays. This Shelter is not your typical shelter.
