I've done testing on this subject, and the conclusion I came to was that the only instance large crop plots would be of any use was where you had no direct access to irrigation, and instead went with waiting for rain. Medium plots are the smallest plots to grow the farming-only crops, and small plots are only for berries.Dire Bears are by far the most efficient way to get berries IMO. Everything else moves too slow. I don't use the bear for it, but I can't stand using a bronto due to how slow it is. A lot of people prefer it but I just can't take how long the bronto spends getting anywhere.Especially for creatures with a fast decreasing torpor (specifically greater than 6.5 per second), narcoberries are the better choice because the 5 berries will increase the torpor for 5 × 3s = 15 seconds as opposed to one narcotic that increases the torpor only for 8 seconds.Run. Ferocious creatures, the Lystro isn’t what it seems. It is a beast of bass destruction, giving a boost to tames along the way. Best to bring the shotgun and fight it with TEK armor for a minimal chance of survival. I’ve seen these things take down wild Gigantosaurs and Titanosaurs. Truly scary thing to behold.
