Unless you have verified your valve is leaking or you have an 04.5-05 LLY, you are most likely wasting your time by shimming or installing a race valve. Kinda like the lb7.

Most people did not meet the conditions and never had problems. The fix was to add extra cooling to the system, with an additional small radiator.
Dec 22, 2016 · Remove the return hose from the fuel pressure regulator 2 (pressure control valve in left hand rail) and plug the hose. Crank the engine for 15 seconds and measure the fuel from the regulator. The volume of fuel should be less than 10 ml.
