Yes I have replaced the spark plug, I have eliminated that as a problem, the problem is somewhere between the battery and the spark plug, I'm not sure what it could be, stator has seemed to check out same with the wiring and cdi box and the kill switch. 2001 400ex known as the current problem bike.

May 6, 2011 · The ignition timing being off is a pretty rare problem. If you have compression, a good strong blue spark, if the timing is set right, if the valve clearance is correct and you're getting gas/starting fluid into the cylinder, it should at least "hit" two or three times and try to start until the gas/starting fluid burns out of the cylinder.Posted July 19, 2023. Remove front cowling and replace Very easy to do. Was getting no spark. Replace the module and bingo.

The start solenoid circuit runs from +V through the start button, the solenoid coil, the diode, the ignition switch and the neutral sensor to ground. The engine would continue to crank with no spark until the button was released. I found that the fuel pump black/blue stripe wire (the positive to the fuel pump, goes to the CDI as well) has …Get the cleaned pilot screw and put the spring, washer, and tiny o-ring on in that order. The washer goes next to the o-ring, not next to the screw head. Be careful that the o-ring goes into the hole straight and square and put the pilot screw in and tighten it all the way in to the lightly seated position.
