Awesome river, terrible lodging. We recently stayed at Chalk Bluff River Resort for a family get together. The bluff and river were amazing! Clear water, gorgeous view. However, cabins were lackluster at best. They were not well cleaned, had no stove or oven (not mentioned on the website), and the bathroom/showers were disgusting.Close to Garner and Lost Maples. This wildlife haven and night-time star show is some of the best the State has to offer. Enjoy feeding deer off the 12-foot-wide wrap-around porch or hike along the river and look for arrowheads. Come unplug and relax in this Hill-Country haven. Stay connected with WIFI. $179 night.…
