I would continue to explore those wires. First of all, disconnect and reconnect one connector, then see if problem is fixed. The do same with the other connector. Twice I've heard a loud pop while driving - intercooler boots blowing off both times. Results in no boost but again should not keep from starting. There is a minimum pressure the CP3 must make during crank before FICM will fire injectors - 2.5K IIRC. I used the AFE mouthpiece on a 2005. It fits in the stock location with no modications. This made a large difference in the fan running.
