Base Computer Archives I recently started playing NMS and I've been working on the Base Computer Archives quest. I got to a point where the mission log tells me "The Base Computer has located an off-world archive. Reach the marked coordinates and investigate. Consult the Galaxy Map while in space to locate destination." I have been playing today and the base computer had to recover so archive data and that it would take a couple of hours. Well, I waited until I got the message that it was finished and this is what has happened. The Log says:- Search base computer archive. Automated archive recovery process has restored additional data. Interact with the base computer to search the archives.

Jul 28, 2018 · UPDATE: SOLUTION/FIX - go to your base, summon your frieghter in the sky above your base, drop a save point and save, reload. Base computer will now work. (You have to wire glitch as the game won't naturally let you place another base computer down). Try and get it as close to the original spot as possible. Come out of the build menu and access the new base computer. it will probably say base already claimed.

Jul 30, 2018 · 1) Use Black Hole to warp very far away. 2) Open quest log and reset the quest (I held middle mouse button on PC) - This was a new option saying somthing about using a local location for the quest. 3) Warped back to my home base through a portal. 4) Archive quest was able to progress. Oct 2, 2020 · Set the quest to Base Computer Archives. (It can jump to other quests) 2. Go to your Galaxy Map and this will show the correct base to go to. (cant use teleporter list anymore effectively.) 3. In order to use the terminal once there make sure the Base Computer Archives is the set quest, wait 10 seconds, use Base Computer. Base Computer Archives is a secondary mission with many parts which primarily grants players Blueprints for functional base building objects. The mission tasks the player with checking their Base Computer regularly and building whatever it has dug up during its archive recovery so it can continue the process. I read somewhere that it was a workaround for some players. I am on Ps4 if that is a factor. It may be necessary to repeat this a couple of times, or at the other base. This only seems to happen once, early in the Base Computer Archives mission - so once you get past it, the issue stays resolved. Good luck.
