Peer-mediated approach
Peer support arrangements differ from other peer-mediated approaches in that they (a) include an emphasis on provid-ing social supports and engagement in a social experience, (b) allow for a support structure that may be influenced by the strengths and interests of each involved party, (c) generally involve a smaller number of students, (d) areTeaching peers is essential to the approach, as it allows them to naturally prompt for appropriate social skills in the setting.
