I've got an intellegence build right now, at 45 int with Velka's Rapier +5 I'm doing some massive damage, even more than my dex character's lightning Iaito +5. well obviously once you made the iaito lightning you lost your scaling benefits. but good heads up for velkas rapier, i know the moveset is absolutely sick so if it can do solid damage ...Standard / Pierce. Velka’s Rapier is particularly bad due to its low, split damage AR and excessive stat requirements. Velka's Rapier isn't all that bad if you just treat it as a pure int weapon. The magic base damage is serviceable for its speed and the int scaling is almost the same as the Moonlight Butterfly Horn. However, in PVE Ricard's rapier is borderline OP. If you have it fully upgraded, with a weapon buff, and use the fast stab two handed strong attack on any of the bosses, you will tear an infinite amount of new assholes into the bosses.
