Best combat ships star citizen

I agree the Redeemer is absolutely fantastic and has beefier shields than a Connie. While Connie is a fantastic three person ship you may as well snag a Redeemer for free flight. I think the free fly is going to grant access to the top 8 in the ship showdown. I'd give the Redeemer a try as well as the MSR.

For multicrew the Phoenix is "worth" it only in terms of its great interior you can meet up in and goof around. Andromeda has most missiles. Taurus is cheapest and has biggest cargo hold (in scu and vehicle space). but only for 1-2 ppl (only one turret and no snub). Aquila is fastest (but not by much). When I say multi-class, I don't necessarily mean RSI's definition of multi-class, I just mean a Jack of all trades ship; decent combat capabilities, storage for trading, a ramp would be nice, ability to store a small vehicle would be nice, and a bed is necessary. Ideally in the combat area, I'd also like S2 or S3 missile capabilities so I ...

For nothing but pure fun (speed + maneuverability), the Origin M50 is my favorite. If by fun you mean take those attributes and add combat ability, the Gladius and Bucc are really "fun" to fly and fight with. ERTs: Retaliator allnthe way if you want to farm fast and efficient. The S5 cannon is undoubtedly better than an S5 repeater, and meshing with the 4 nose cannons works really well. In PVP you could argue repeaters on the nose instead. S4 Laser repeater, 2 s2 laser repeaters, 2 S2 Distortion repeaters is the best combo. DPS is great, MUCH easier to hit smaller targets. It is a cargo ship so you're not catching agile fighters anytime soon, but against bulkier ships is a good option. You can get it on Cargo Decks. FWIW, i own and operate a cutlass and a connie. I think for $150 the taurus is a great buy. If you want to strictly run cargo the hull series is probably best. As they are not in game yet, keep in mind loaners (Google star citizen loaner matrix). Personally i like owning ships i know i want to use.The C-2 is dedicated to hauling cargo. The 600i is dedicated to luxury exploration. All of those ships have roles (not related to military operations at all) vastly different than ship-to-ship combat. But they are vastly more capable at ship-to-ship combat than a ship supposedly designed for military operations. If you want a fighter ship with a seat only, the best light fighter is the gladius (objectively, it has more stuff than the arrow), the best mid fighter is (subjectively) the Sabre, it has more shields and armor isn't here yet, so the hornets haven't their full value yet. If you want a ship with space in it, you have the Avenger which is great.
