Steve on Jul 04, 2022Grumpy_old_fart. there are 2 different length sm465/np205 setups. the easy way to ID the two is by looking at the adapter. if its a "racetrack pattern" 8 bolt adapter, its short, and you probably wont have to change driveshafts. if its long, and a 6 bolt round faced adapter, you will probably need to change the driveshafts.The Np203 is cast iron and weighs about 200 pounds, heavier than the NP205 even. The Np208 is the only aluminum one in the bunch. The NP205 has a small round access cover on the back of it, the NP203 does not, and the NP208 CANNOT be confused with either of the other two. JEEPN.
