Mar 1, 2011 · Supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2) is being used in many engineering applications due to the fact that, at supercritical stage, it has unique thermal properties with enhanced heat transfer and flow characteristics. The density of supercritical carbon dioxide is close to that of liquid, and it has the characteristics of good injection performance and low viscosity (Wang et al., 2018; Li et al., 2006; Xiong et al., 2015).The corresponding solubility was determined as a function of temperature, pressure, density of supercritical CO2, and two physical properties of drug, i.e. molecular weight and melting point.
