Pentair easy touch not communicating with pump
If the heater did not start disconnect the com wire from the heater firemans switch now and use a jumper or original loop to connect the switch. If heater starts then comm wire is bad. If heater still has not start then remove the ribbon connecting the control membrane from the heater pcb board. Jump the 1&2 pin.I'm not necessarily an app person I specialize in heat pumps what I would suggest is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. One other possibility is Pentair has put out some corrupt updates that were pushed out through the internet that have caused a lot of communication problems between the heat pump and the Pentair controls you may need to revert back to a different software revision.It will not turn the pump on in either Service or Timeout mode. For those familiar with EasyTouch controllers and single speed pumps, this is unusual. For this reason, it is nice to set up an Auxiliary button to turn the variable speed pump on to a speed that is appropriate for vacuuming or running an auto cleaner.
