Abstract. If both the day-side and night-side effective temperatures of a planet can be measured, it is possible to estimate its Bond albedo, 0 < A B < 1, as well as its day-night heat redistribution efficiency, 0 < ɛ < 1. We attempt a statistical analysis of the albedo and redistribution efficiency for 24 transiting exoplanets that have at least one published secondary eclipse.The mean radii are 25,250 km for Uranus and 24,500 km for Neptune (G. S. Orton, 1984, private communication). The values of p* were multiplied by 1.036 and 1.041, respectively, for Uranus and Neptune to correct for the changes in radii. The values of p* are 0.16 0.01 for Titan, 0.28 0.02 for Uranus, and 0.25 0.02 for Neptune.the planetary equilibrium temperature to be as great as 555 K (the case for a Bond albedo of 0) and as low as 393 K (assuming a Bond albedo of 0.75, the same as that for Venus).
