Yeah, it's the auto-save system that's really dumb, and that's the way the auto-save has been in all of Rockstar's games. I started out with three manual saves, went to four, and that was all I really needed. But, I would strongly recommend manually saving the game immediately after you complete each story mission and side mission.I've seen a few posts regarding this issue on the Steam discussion page and the RDR2 subreddit with not many fixes offered, but I'll try my luck and see if a solution can be found here.
