The way the seat weight works is that it sends out a radio frequency signal to determine the passenger weight. The weight signal gets screwed up by the phone also sending and receiving signals. The reminder will pop up on the dash but not the sound. Be aware each time you try this method it will toggle sound on then next time sound off.
