His The mag are designed with 16 rounds in mind, with the intention that the 16th round isn't needing to be forced to allow a full 16 round magazine to be inserted on a closed slide, and mechanically what happens is that the spring coils collapse to a point where they aren't supposed to when that 17th round is forced in. I was also worried about the smaller window size vs the standard RMR. But in practical use it's very much a non issue. The RMRcc is a much better fit for the narrower 2011 slides IMO.
