The Santa Paula Labor Day Parade committee has selected Tomas Gonzalez as the Grand Marshal for the city’s annual Labor Day Parade scheduled for Monday, September 7 at 10:00 AM. The annual parade in its fifth year was conceived by Joanne Wright who felt strongly in the need to honor the workers of our community.The only such celebration in Southern California, and one of the few parades held in the nation to mark Labor Day, the Santa Paula parade celebrated those who work.Also celebrated was the Logsdon family, owners of the popular Santa Paula Airport restaurant bearing the family name, who were honored as the 2007 Parade grand marshals.
