The post is a bit confusing. I saw in your other post that you just had 2 Black wires and 2 red wires. Sounds like a 12-24 Volt trolling motor. It can run in either the 12 Volt mode or the 24 volt mode. The orange would be for 24 Volts and the red and black would be 12 Volts. If you have a DPDT switch, that would switch between 12-24 operation.
