How diverse is Thaumaturge? Ok, just watched Nonat's video and is thinking about the Thaumaturge options. You can choose any 3 of 9 implements, which is 84 combinations, or 504 considering the order. However, the implements are either active, reactive or passive and with PF2 you probably want 1 of each type, which drops down to 27 combinations ...Thaumaturges are only meant to use 1-handed weapons because the other hand is supposed to be reserved for their esoterica and non-weapon implements. They get Implement's Empowerment to make up the difference. It wouldn't be OP to let a thaumaturge use a 2-handed weapon implement as long as they still obey the restrictions on their other ...Bard is probably one of the best spellcasting archetypes for thaumaturge, mainly for Inspire Courage and other focus cantrips. You can use a Bell implement to cast your spells. I'd advise against wizard and witch because their spellcasting keys off of Intelligence and Thaumaturge is a Charisma class.
