It might be a supply chain issue and they have just dropped them temporarily (although I would think they would put "Temporarily Unavailable" instead of "Discontinued". They do list the XDM Elite in 10mm with a 3.8" barrel as "New" so there may be some longer barrel replacements coming soon.This is my trusty XDM 10mm I purchased a few years ago to fit the role as a last defense bear and moose gun. According to the Springfield site, and much to my surprise, the 10mm XDM was discontinued. Any thoughts as to why?It would be my bet that the XDM was improved to the XDm Elite. And with the manufacturing of the new line of firearms, the 4.5" 45ACP just has not made it's release yet. But I am sure it's coming. Here is my review of the XDm Elite.
