Neither had accessory holes. Both were used between '64-'66 on the 327cid and had 64cc chambers. The "standard" 461 head's intake port volume was 161cc, exhaust was 62cc. The Chevy 882's didn't have good compression, because they had larger combustion chambers. They usually only gave a 9:1 compression on a Chevy 350 with flat top pistons. But, they did flow good from the factory, even with 1.94" and 1.50" valves. (Most high perf. Chevy heads had 2.02" / 1.60 ...1973 heads would be the 993's for the 1.94's and did not have the hard seats or at least wasn't good enough to tell. The basic problem is that you have square port heads with round port headers so you are starting with a mismatch between the the two. In a situation like this you need to use the header gasket port shape that will provide the most surface seal and least intrusion in to the exhaust flow.
