Sorcerer is a lot of fun, often killing enemies in 1 spell or clearing entire room with 3-4 spell casts. After that, go warlock to 17. The 1st and 2nd level spell slots shore up the Warlock's weakness of resources. Shield styles are poop unless you're on hardcore. Strimtom takes 2134023 toughness features on most of his builds, because he just wants to survive hardcore, in regular servers you arguably don't even need one. Strimtom plays on groups the vast majority of the time, consider the solo-ability of his builds. Right now, a couple of the expansions are on sale for about $1. To get them, download the game, create a character and choose the store from the main menu (lower left & sign on the game window once you are in-game). It is a PvE instanced MMO. Most of the PvE is D&D type quests, so lots of PvE combat. Strimtom's hardcore season 1, 2 and 3 builds are easy to achieve, high survivability, decent new player starting builds that require no tomes. Some involve race/class/universal tree unlocks but a fair bit don't. I would say new players go look there instead of other places.
