Caliber also may impact the fit. A 40/357 229 is a bit wider in the slide. Dec 28, 2015 · They just need to offer it in 9mm, and then it'll really overlap and improve upon the M11-A1. Then you have the new P225-A1, which is even more sleek (albeit, shorter round count). The M11-A1 is a great gun, but I've felt for a while that it's a little overpriced. If you can get one at a great sale price, it'd be a solid buy right now, I think.

Jun 19, 2013 · Finally took my M11-A1 to the range today and put 115 rounds through her. Was plagued, and I mean plagued, by FTE leading to some pretty ******** failures. Counted six before I said to hell with it and packed the gun up. The best one I had was after dropping the mag, I had to cycle the slide four, I say again, four times before the casing ejected. My two carry guns are a P229 40 no-rail (same size as M11-A1) and a P938. I'd say the P229 gets carried 80% of the time, not 'cause it's more comfortable to carry of course, just that it make *me* feel more comfortable. Right now, during back surgery recovery, the P938 in a shoulder holster is at 100%.

My M11 came with one IT made and one non IT made, assuming that one is a checkmate mag. The two IT made mags are smooth as butter to load and seat in the weapon.
