Level 2. I just dont think new players are going to be killing Mosquitos early and certainly not Wolf Spiders so I think that rules out the Spider armor, Dagger and Mosquito rapier. I usually recommend Grub armor (stamina is nice) into Ladybug armor (blocking). Also Aphid Slippers for travel. Level 3.It's hard to beat ladybug for that juicy healing. Antlion is very close to the best armor in the game for resistances and it's a medium. As others have said, it's purely based on what you're doing and what you personally like.
